Helgesen Tekniske Bygg AS (HTB), a company within AF Gruppen, has signed a
turnkey contract with Øvrehagen 2 AS for an extension to Fatland Ølen's
production facility in Ølen. The contract value is NOK 213 million excluding
VAT.
The extension, covering 11,750 square meters GFA and 3,200 square meters of
technical ceiling space, will feature modern facilities for processing,
packaging, storage and freezing of meat products, with energy-efficient
solutions such as heat recovery and solar panel installations. The project also
includes the rerouting of a municipal road and the establishment of a boiler
house for a steam boiler system.
During the process leading up to the turnkey contract, HTB developed the project
in close cooperation with the developer and Fatland Ølen AS.
"We have had a strong collaboration with the client on several projects,
including previous expansions of the existing building. Now, we look forward to
initiating this new construction phase together with Fatland," says Ronny
Laastad, CEO of HTB.
Construction is set to begin in June 2025, with completion expected in the
fourth quarter of 2026.
