Safe at Sea: The Norwegian sea rescue society extends their fleet of RescueRunners
The Norwegian Sea Rescue Society is a nationwide humanitarian association whose purpose is to save lives, salvage assets and protect the coastal environment of Norwegian waters, as well as undertaking outreach and accident prevention initiatives to improve the safety of those at sea in Norway and abroad. Since 1891, the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue have rescued over 6 400 persons from perishing.
Their new Redningsskøyter (Sea Rescue Vessels) are currently being built at Swede Ship Marine yard in Sweden and the two RescueRunners will be delivered during 2019.
