Wyld Networks receives purchase order from IMAE for Satellite IoT data
Following an initial order for Wyld Connect modules in May 2022, IMAE has placed an additional purchase order, worth SEK 760,000 for Wyld's data service.
IMAE is deploying Wyld's IoT sensor-to-satellite solution with their wind turbine technology in the utility sector in Brazil. Wyld Connect will enable data collection for wind turbines in locations where there is no terrestrial connectivity. This data will then be delivered via Wyld Fusion to IMAE's data management and analysis platform.
"We are delighted to continue our work with IMAE to provide satellite IoT connectivity for their next generation wind turbine technology" said Alastair Williamson CEO Wyld Networks, "The low cost per turbine connectivity Wyld provides will enable IMAE to meet their ambitious plans to rapidly grow Brazil's wind energy capacity throughout Brazil."
In 2019 Brazil occupied seventh place in the global ranking of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) with 19GW of installed capacity. Wind is currently the second-largest source of energy in the country, accounting for 10% of the electricity production mix. According to the Brazilian Association of Wind Energy (ABEEólica), the expectation is that by 2024 Brazil will have at least 30 GW of installed wind energy capacity.
