Scanfil announced yesterday that the company is investing in a second electronics manufacturing line at its Atlanta plant in the US. Demand for electronics manufacturing in the US has increased over the past two years and is expected to continue to grow. The expansion is expected to be completed in Q4. The investment is estimated to be worth 2.4 MEUR.
This is a small but capital-efficient investment to expand business in the US, where tightening trade policies and bringing production chains closer to end users have increased demand, at least for now. Reflecting this, Scanfil's Americas business area has seen accelerating revenue and earnings growth over the past 3 years. However, the investment does not cause immediate pressure to change our near-term forecasts for Scanfil at this stage.
