Administrative Court grants Valuno deferral without security in SEK 21.8 million VAT matter

Valuno Group AB (publ) (the "Company") has today received the judgment of the Administrative Court in Stockholm dated 15 October 2026 concerning the deferral of payment of approximately SEK 21.8 million in VAT relating to the financial year 2021/2022. The Court rules that security may not be required as a condition for the deferral. In its preliminary assessment, the Court also finds that it may be assumed that the tax will ultimately not be payable.

The Administrative Court finds that the Company's objections give reason to question whether the Company provided services for consideration in the manner asserted by the Swedish Tax Agency. The Court further finds that the Company's objections have not been sufficiently rebutted by the Swedish Tax Agency and that there are special reasons to exempt the Company from the requirement to provide security. The Company has also been awarded SEK 80,000 in legal costs.

The judgment replaces the Administrative Court's interim decision of 26 August 2026 and concerns the deferral of payment. The underlying VAT matter has, following the Swedish Tax Agency's mandatory reconsideration decision, been referred to the Administrative Court for determination in separate proceedings. The judgment announced today may be appealed by the Swedish Tax Agency.

“This is a significant decision for Valuno. In its preliminary assessment, the Administrative Court finds that there are grounds to question the Swedish Tax Agency's position and that it may be assumed that the tax will ultimately not be payable. The underlying VAT matter remains to be finally determined, but the judgment strengthens our position on the substantive issue and we look forward to the Court's continued consideration of the case,” says Peter Liljeroos, CEO of Valuno Group AB (publ).
