Clarification of a press release that was released this morning. The order was received from an existing customer, which could have been misunderstood and interpreted as an order from a new customer.

Alelion secures new order from an existing customer worth MSEK 8.2

Alelion Energy Systems AB (publ) has received a repeat order for high-voltage batteries from a german special vehicles manufacturer. The batteries will be used for the electrification of various airport vehicles and logistic solutions. Delivery will start in the second half of 2022 and continue for 12 months thereafter. Alelion continues to secure production capacity for 2022-2023.

The order amounts to approximately MSEK 8.2, and due to the significant order intake, delivery will not commence until the second half of 2022, extending into 2023. The order may be construed as a sign that Alelion's strategy shift towards a greater emphasis on long-term customer relationships has gained further prominence. The urge to electrify and shift to sustainable energy consumption remains.

Alelion's ready-made battery concept for logistics and airport vehicles has been waiting for the aviation industry to return to a more normalized situation. Electrified airport vehicles equipped with Alelion's battery systems are used, for example, to transport, load and unload catering meals for passenger aircraft. This means that a fossil-free solution replaces vehicles emitting carbon dioxide.

The ready-made battery concept for special vehicles is in demand by a number of industries wishing to reduce their carbon footprint. Focus segments chosen by Alelion include Off-highway vehicles; vehicles primarily in logistic solutions, ports, airports as well as construction equipment.

Overall demand for serially-produced battery systems in the special vehicles segment is on the rise, and it is now apparent that the change from fossil fuels to sustainable electric power is really taking off.
