Atria is a food group. The group includes several players, the better known of which include Sibylla, Lithells and Ridderheims. The subsidiaries' operations include the production of liver pâté, meat and chicken products, and various finished products. The operations are conducted on a global level, mainly concentrated in the Nordic countries, the Baltics and Russia. The company was founded in 1903 and has its headquarters in Seinäjoki.

Rauli & Pauli Corporation have released a company report on Atria   Despite inflationary pressures, we believe Atria’s earnings will remain approximately at the level of the comparison period this year. Following the share price decline, the company’s valuation (e.g., 2026 P/E and EV/EBIT 9x) has, in our view, dropped to the attractive side. A dividend yield of approximately 5% and continued earnings growth next year also support the expected return. Due to forecast changes, we are lowering our target price to 16 euros (prev. 17.5e), but upgrading our recommendation to Accumulate (prev. Reduce). @henrielo has conducted an analysis of Atria.  Regarding exports, Ala-Fossi highlights Japan’s antibiotic-free pork as a positive factor, through which the company has gained a foothold in exports. Similarly, the company has long-term customer relationships for the same product in South Korea. The product is in demand and carries a small premium, though global price levels still have an impact. Some items have been dropped from exports to China, but there is good demand for chicken feet, for example. Here is, of course, the new company report on Atria from Rauli and Pauli  Atria’s Q1 results were close to our expectations, and the company reiterated its guidance for full-year earnings improvement. However, we believe that accelerating inflation will weigh on the results, which is why we slightly lowered our forecasts for this year. In our view, the stock is neutrally valued (e.g., 2026 P/E 11x), and the expected return remains subdued. We reiterate our reduce recommendation and lower our target price to EUR 17.5 (prev. EUR 18.5) following the lower forecasts and the dividend detachment. And here are Rauli’s quick comments on the results.  Atria published a slightly stronger Q1 report than we expected, as both revenue and adjusted profit exceeded our forecasts. The positive earnings surprise was built on the strong profitability development in Sweden and Estonia, while in the Finnish unit, cost inflation and oversupply in the meat market weighed on the result. The result was supported by higher subsidy payments in Estonia compared to the reference period, without which the result would have been in line with our forecast. The company reiterated its guidance forecasting earnings growth for the current year. Overall, we consider the report to be relatively neutral, especially considering the rising costs. We expect the company’s net sales to have continued to grow, driven especially by poultry and ready-to-eat meals, following the strong momentum at the end of 2025. We estimate that adjusted operating profit will improve slightly from the comparison period, although an increase in administrative expenses and general cost pressure may limit margin improvement. Here are Nordea’s latest thoughts regarding Atria   The Finnish grocery market remained stable in Q1, but we note the potential for material cost inflation in 2026 amid the Middle East crisis. We expect logistics costs to increase from Q2, while price adjustments would likely only be possible from Q3, we believe. Given Atria’s strong market position, we believe the company can push through the majority of raw material increases to prices, but geopolitical tensions and possible interest rate increases could burden consumer confidence. Our DCF- and multiples-based fair value range remains intact, at EUR 17.7-21.6. Pauli has issued a new company report on Atria.  In our view, the threat of inflation caused by the war in Iran could weaken the profitability of the food industry in the 1-2 year horizon. Atria has given an upward-trending profit guidance for 2026, which we still considered relatively risk-free in February, but as inflation tightens, the uncertainty surrounding the profit guidance could also increase. We made small short-term forecast calculations, which, together with the increased share price, weigh on the stock’s return-risk ratio. We lower our recommendation to Reduce (previously Add) and our target price to EUR 18.5 (previously EUR 19.0).
