BCS - The test module for direct CO2 capture from BIR has been delivered

Bergen Carbon Solutions
(Bergen, 30 June 2022): Bergen Carbon Solutions AS (BCS, OSE:BCS)

Bergen Carbon Solutions has today successfully transported a mobile test module
to Bergensområde Interkommmunale Renovasjonsselskap (BIR) energy recovery plant
in Rådalen, Bergen. This is part of an Enova funded project that started back in
2018, performed by BCS and BIR. The module will utilise CO2 directly from the
plant's fluegas to produce EcoNano carbon nanofibers (CNF).

The infrastructure at BIR is already in place, and BCS will use the coming weeks
to connect the module to BIR's systems, testing all functions and train
operators before the module is put into operation. The module has a theoretical
production capacity of approximately 1.6 tons of CNF annually.

The project with BIR started back in 2018 and was supported by Enova. The aim
was to catch CO2 from the plant and utilise it to produce a value product,
creating a sustainable value chain. The many years of R&D put into this project
has also enabled Bergen Carbon Solutions to develop a full-scale factory
production concept, and the final investment decision for the first factory will
be made in the coming days.

Finn Blydt-Svendsen, Interim CEO commented: "Today marks another milestone in
the Company's history. We are proud to have delivered the test unit to BIR
today. We are also grateful for all the support the team at BIR has provided us
since the initial discussions started in 2018. We now look forward to commence
operations."
