BCS: Third quarter financial results and operational update

BCSRegulatory press release2026-11-05 07:00

(Bergen, 05. November 2026): Bergen Carbon Solutions AS (BCS, OSE:BCS)

Bergen Carbon Solutions AS (BCS), the carbon capture and utilization (CCU)
company, today provides an operational update and financial results for the
third quarter of 2026.

During the third quarter, BCS as a material development company, continued its
transition towards a stronger product and application focus, with particular
emphasis on developing the Company's carbon material for battery applications.
Technical progress during the period has further increased BCS' understanding of
the distinguishing characteristics of its CNT material and its potential
advantages in selected battery applications. Initial cell testing has
demonstrated encouraging performance comparable to commercially available
multi-walled carbon nanotubes.

Interaction with potential customers and industrial partners also continued to
develop during the quarter. Material has been supplied to several parties for
evaluation, with subsequent testing rounds initiated as part of the product
development process. This is an iterative process demonstrating the Company's
ability to tailor material characteristics to application-specific requirements.

BCS continues to develop and broaden its intellectual property position. The
patent portfolio now comprises of three granted patents and eight pending
applications. During the quarter, the patent covering the purification and
separation of solid-state carbon-containing material was granted, further
strengthening the protection of the Company's technology and know-how.

The Company has recently received approval for support under the SkatteFUNN
scheme, which may have a positive financial impact in future periods.

"During 2026, we have made important progress in moving BCS closer to product
qualification and industrial application. The latest battery testing strengthens
our confidence in the potential of our CNT material, while the dialogue with
industrial partners is providing valuable direction for further product
development. Our value proposition remains to be strong and well positioned
towards the global megatrends of non-Chinese supply chains for raw material for
the battery and defence industry.
Combined with our expanding patent portfolio, stronger battery competence and
disciplined cost base, we believe BCS is building a solid foundation for the
next phase of development," says Odd Strømsnes, CEO of Bergen Carbon Solutions.
