BIMobject AB today announced a reorganization of its operations around two business areas: Design Enablement and Data Solutions. The change is designed to give each part of the business the structure, focus, and accountability it needs to execute independently and to grow even faster.

Design Enablement will focus on offerings that help designers and architects make informed decisions in the early phases of construction, while Data Solutions builds products that provide intelligent product data during all phases of the lifetime of a building. Design Enablement includes bimobject.com and Design App for Revit while Data Solutions contains EandoX, Prodikt, and our offering from wholesalers.

The restructuring is driven both by the need to establish the right structure for each business area and by the improved efficiency in how BIMobject’s teams work. AI-assisted knowledge work has shifted what it means to be well-resourced: a smaller, more focused team can now move faster than a larger, generalist one. The new organizational structure is built around that reality.

As a result of the restructuring, approximately 24 positions (approximately 16% of the Group’s total employees) are being eliminated globally. This will decrease yearly operating costs by approximately 25 MSEK. The full impact of the reorganization on BIMobject's operating cost base is expected to be reflected from Q3 2026 onwards. The restructuring costs will primarily be accounted for in Q2 2026 and are estimated to be 10.7 MSEK.

“Going into this, our focus has been to build the foundation for the future of BIMobject. It is about creating an organization and a way of working that fully realizes the investments we have made in AI, while ensuring that both business areas can operate as effectively as possible. This represents a significant and necessary shift in how we drive the business, while at the same time we are saddened to say goodbye to so many talented individuals.” says Niklas Agevik, CEO at BIMobject AB.

The reorganization does not change BIMobject's strategic direction. The company remains committed to its vision - becoming the global leading provider of reliable product information for the construction industry. What changes is how that strategy is executed. Design Enablement and Data Solutions will each have their own leadership, go-to-market approach, and commercial accountability. The intent is to move fast, with clear ownership, in both parts of the business.
