Bravida Holding AB: Bravida Sweden awarded installation contract for new wastewater treatment plant near Stockholm for around SEK 41 million
Bravida Sweden has been commissioned by NCC to be responsible for the plumbing and HVAC work for the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in Åkersberga outside Stockholm. The new treatment plant will be one of Sweden's most modern wastewater facilities.
The new wastewater treatment plant will meet future environmental and treatment requirements for outgoing water and also ensure sufficient wastewater treatment capacity for the growing populations of the Österåker and Vaxholm municipalities. Bravida's assignment includes all the plumbing and HVAC installation work for the planned processing facility.
"We are very pleased to have been asked to contribute to ensuring sustainable and future-proof water infrastructure in the region, for the benefit of residents, the environment and society," comments Lars Täuber, Head of Division Sweden at Bravida.
Britt-Marie Simonsson, Project Purchaser at NCC, comments:
"Bravida has demonstrated in other process-related infrastructure assignments that it has the required experience and capacity for this, which was crucial when choosing a supplier for the project. We look forward to a continuing good partnership with Bravida."
The project is a collaborative project being run by NCC and Roslagsvatten AB. Bravida's work in the project will start in March 2026 and completion is scheduled for Q1 2028.
