<div class="abstract">Three people participated when Cinis Fertilizer hosted a ceremonial ground­breaking to officially kick off the construction of its plant in Köpmanholmen in Örnsköldsvik. At the site, the company will manufacture environmentally friendly mineral fertilizer from the beginning of 2024.</div>Today, Cinis Fertilizers CEO Jakob Liedberg, together with the chairman of Örnsköldsvik's municipal board, Anna-Britta Åkerlind, and We Construction CEO Jonas Lindén, took a symbolic first sod in Köpmanholmen. The spade was taken with a common spade with three handles.- What we are going to build here in Köpmanholmen is something unique. Here, Cinis Fertilizer will manufacture the world's most sustainable mineral fertilizer from residual products from electric car battery manufacturing and the pulp industry. We will use traditional and proven process technology powered by fossil-free electricity. Our end product, potassium sulfate, will be an important contribution to the green trans­formation of agriculture, where our end customers are located, says Jakob Liedberg, founder and CEO of Cinis Fertilizer.- It is gratifying that today we see Köpmanholmen developing as a viable and sustainable place, with several legs to stand on and where new steps are being taken for companies to expand and establish themselves in the place.
