Sandnes, Norway, 23 March 2026 - Desert Control (OSE: DSRT), a leader in soil and water conservation technology, announces that Berkeley Country Club in El Cerrito, California, has signed a commercial agreement to implement Liquid Natural Clay (LNC) across its golf course after completing a successful multi-month trial. The trial demonstrated water use reduction while maintaining overall turf quality.

LNC, a patented soil restoration technology, helps sandy soils retain water more effectively, reducing irrigation demands, and supporting healthier plant growth. Berkeley Country Club's trial results showed measurable improvement in water efficiency, aligning with both operational needs and the club's long-standing commitment to protecting natural habitats.

The commercial agreement operates under Desert Control's outcomes-based structure, generating monthly recurring revenue linked directly to verified water savings. This development strengthens Desert Control's expanding portfolio of recurring revenue agreements within the U.S. golf segment and supports continued commercial execution in water-constrained markets.

"We are excited to welcome Berkeley Country Club as a commercial customer. Not only is it a historic, beautiful and well-regarded golf course, but it also has a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship," said James Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Desert Control. "Their team took a thoughtful, data driven approach to evaluating LNC, and the results speak for themselves. We're proud that LNC will play a role in advancing their sustainability goals while supporting world class playing conditions for their members."

Berkeley Country Club began testing LNC to explore ways to reduce water consumption across drought sensitive areas. According to Jeff Perry, General Manager of Berkeley Country Club, the trial demonstrated clear value.

"Berkeley Country Club is pleased to partner with Desert Control as we continue to take a thoughtful approach to environmental stewardship," said Perry. "Liquid Natural Clay improves the soil's ability to retain water in the root zone where it is needed most. In California - where water management is defined by limited supply, variable weather, and rising costs - that has a direct impact on both turf quality and overall water usage. LNC is a practical solution with real impact, and we are confident in both the technology and the strength of this partnership."

With the new agreement in place, Berkeley Country Club will begin full-scale application of LNC in the coming weeks.
