I’m returning to this, inspired by Faron’s thread. Science did what it did to this. Although the consumer economy will stay afloat for another good year, I don’t believe in this - I could, of course, be wrong. I think all future parts will have a taste of explanation. The wallets of key investors and financiers will likely remain closed after this episode. From society’s and the health economy’s perspective, both the drug and the company are bankrupt in terms of image and trust.  Psychology will toss the stock between hope and despair with decreasing lambda and amplitude until the realities are absorbed into all tissues. IMHO

Up 9% now. That’s nothing, not that it matters, but this was supposed to be ‘game over’. I listened to the CEO and other management’s interview yesterday, and they promised to turn over every stone to figure this out. Is there hope?

The intention was to publish the report before the readout, but the new financing package complicated things so much that practically everything had to be recalculated and models updated. On the other hand, the new financing package combined with market movements led to a heuristically very easy decision to sell warrants and buy shares. The market’s reaction to the financing package was thus peculiar, and I aimed to show visually how the warrant game was practically played even then, although the market was still pricing warrants highly. The outcome was a shame for all parties involved, but no one is bitter towards anyone here. The probability of success in the market has varied between approximately 30 and 60 percent, so failure was very possible. Few also played for deterministic success, but only for a probability greater than the market’s estimate. In that game, reflection can only be done by considering ex ante data and deriving the probabilities priced by the market, and then choosing the best way to play for one’s own – differing from the market’s – view. Thanks to all commentators, this was an interesting case, and everyone has certainly learned something along the way. I aim to publish the next piece within a month. Rose Garden seems to understand option pricing clearly better than average and even tipped off beforehand that they had sold warrants, so props for that. I had a 0.7% position in the warrant… On the other hand, seeking financing before this reading was an excellent move by management, in hindsight. It’s always wise to secure your back.

How on earth is this not in Rosegarden’s analysis, even though the same faces have been here as in Faron, maybe a bit more bullishly?
