Episurf Medical has entered into a letter of intent with Oligo Medic regarding the divestment of the medical technology business

EPIS BPress release2026-10-26 14:30

Episurf Medical AB (publ) ("Episurf") has today entered into a letter of intent with the Canadian company Oligo Medic Inc. ("Oligo Medic") regarding a possible divestment of Episurf's medical technology business. The letter of intent forms part of the strategic review of the medical technology business announced by Episurf on 26 october 2026 and of the Company's refocusing on property operations.

Oligo Medic is developing an international platform for joint-preserving treatments under the planned name FOREVER IN MOTION. The platform is intended to combine complementary technologies within, among other areas, biomaterials, individualized implants, surgical treatment and digital motion analysis. Episurf's Episealer® implant and Epiguide® instruments are expected to add further technological breadth and clinical experience to the platform.

"We view positively the opportunity to find a long-term industrial solution for our medical technology business. Episurf has developed a unique technology with extensive clinical experience. Through Oligo Medic's broader platform, the business can be given better conditions for continued product development and international commercialization. For Episurf, a divestment would at the same time be an important step in our refocusing and in our efforts to concentrate our resources on the property business."

- Jens Andersson, CEO Episurf Medical

The parties will now continue work on the transaction structure and a possible final transfer agreement. No divestment has been completed. A transaction is subject to the parties reaching a final agreement, the fulfilment of applicable conditions and the adoption of the requisite resolutions. Episurf will publish further information when there is reason to do so.
