They are slow, the charging infra doesn’t scale, AND they CONSUME electricity that AI needs. I claim that Americans will choose every single time to ensure there’s enough electricity for AI and that, for example, transport gets its energy from elsewhere – as they have done until now. The same solution is ahead for Europe at some point – we just haven’t realized it yet. Now that the excess fat has been trimmed from the company, they can reach profitability even with lower volume – but the company must find new customers and sectors on the hydrogen side. Those would be available in the drone and space sectors, but now they need to tap into them. That’s that, damn it.

Hexagon Purus downsizes its BVI segment Today at 07:25 ∙ AI news summary Hexagon Purus is significantly downsizing its Battery Systems and Vehicle Integration (BVI) segment due to challenging market conditions in the US, characterized by regulatory and tariff uncertainties affecting demand. This strategic move aims to safeguard liquidity and strengthen the company’s financial position despite the perceived long-term value of BVI technology. The restructuring includes significant personnel reductions and consolidation of operations, as well as a new order that helps stabilize the segment financially.   Personnel in the BVI segment will be reduced by approximately two-thirds, leaving about 25 employees in the organization.   One-time restructuring costs are estimated at $0.7 million and will be recorded in the first quarter of 2026.   BVI operations will be consolidated into the Dallas location, and operations in Ontario and Kelowna will be phased out by March 2026.   Hexagon Purus received an order from Hino for 14 battery electric trucks, with delivery expected in late Q2 / early Q3 of 2026.   Preliminary Q4 2025 figures show revenue of approximately NOK 468 million, cash reserves of NOK 322 million, and an order backlog of NOK 728 million.
