Information security incident in the SportAdmin platform
On Thursday, Lime's subsidiary SportAdmin's IT environment was exposed to a data breach by an external attacker. Information has been leaked to the attacker, but what information is affected and the extent of the leak is still unknown. Lime has proactively shut down all SportAdmin services as a precautionary measure.
The incident was identified early in the morning and Lime chose to immediately shut down all SportAdmin services. The exact cause of the incident and when the systems will be back up and running is currently unknown. The organisation is now working intensively to investigate the situation and to restore access to the services.
SportAdmin was acquired by Lime Technologies a year ago and accounts for about 10 per cent of the Lime Group's total turnover. The security incident only involves SportAdmin and no other systems or business units are affected. Lime takes the situation very seriously and the incident has been reported to the police. While the investigation is ongoing, it is possible to follow the work online via SportAdmin's operational information page.
