Kempower operates in the industrial sector. The company is a developer of charging solutions and services aimed at the automotive sector. The range mainly includes charging posts, stations, sockets, and associated electronic equipment. In addition to the main business, various after-sales services and technical support are offered. The largest operations are found in the Nordic region and parts of Europe.

The most likely scenario is that the Kempes themselves will buy the company out of the stock exchange. This scenario is supported by the fact that the main owner (the Kempes) holds over 60% of the company’s shares, making it practically impossible to sell the shares without the stock price taking a significant dive.

Why is that a risk? A tender offer can be made for any company at any time, and usually, the offer includes a relatively significant premium to the current share price.

Not at all. Why would Kemppi sell off a cash cow? There’s no way it would, but there’s no fear of it either. Kempower, by all accounts and forecasts, will be worth several billions in the medium term.

Is there a risk that Kempower could receive a takeover bid and be delisted from the stock exchange at this moment? I’m wondering if a small investor who is preparing for long-term growth has any sensible way to influence the situation to prevent this from happening.

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink was interviewed by the BBC.  Fink predicts that oil prices will not settle on a golden mean, but will either fall sharply or rise. If Iran is accepted back into international trade, oil prices could fall to as low as $40 a barrel [00:34]. If the conflict continues and Iran threatens the vital Strait of Hormuz, prices could rise above $150 a barrel [01:24]. Threat of recession: If oil prices rise above $150, it will, according to Fink, inevitably lead to a global recession.  The transition to alternative renewable energy sources must be promoted “aggressively”.  I personally don’t see it as a very likely option that Iran would start backing down here and trying to get back in line nicely. Trump, on the other hand, cannot agree to Iran’s demands for control of the strait, the closure of military bases, and war reparations. Ukraine’s wonderful precision strikes on Russian refineries, in turn, pull the rug out from under the Russian army, its economy, and its ability to push gasoline into the world markets. Extreme bull for electrification! This is turning out to be an extremely good year for transportation electrification and Kempower.
