Klimator Deepens Collaboration with Svevia focus Automated Winter Road Maintenance
Klimator AB is entering a deeper collaboration with Svevia, one of Sweden’s leading players in road operation and maintenance. The purpose is to explore and define a future Svevia model for automated winter road maintenance, with people, digitalization, data-driven decisions, and advanced technology in focus. The value of the agreement is approx 850 000 sek for one year, where most of the deliveries is planned for 2025.
The project will include Klimator’s core technologies:
- Road Status Information (RSI) – decision support based on unique road condition forecasts
- IoT-based road weather stations – locally adapted measurement data that enhance forecast precision
- Dynamic Salting – adjusted dosing depending on forecasts and weather conditions
- Adaptive Salting – real-time control where the spreader adjusts salt application based on current road conditions
Together with Svevia, the solutions will be integrated into daily operations to evaluate the potential for increased precision, reduced environmental impact, and improved traffic safety.
