Altor Invest 8 AS ("Altor") has sold all shares it held in Mandatum plc on 17 August 2026. In accordance with the Charter of Mandatum's Shareholders' Nomination Board, if a shareholder who has appointed a member to the Nomination Board ceases to hold any shares in the company during the term of office of the Nomination Board, the member appointed by that shareholder to the Nomination Board must resign, without the Nomination Board having the discretion to decide otherwise. Altor's representative, Øistein Widding, has today, 20 August 2026, notified that he is resigning from his membership of the Nomination Board.
The composition of Mandatum plc's Nomination Board is therefore as follows:
Risto Murto, President and CEO, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company (appointed by Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company)
Esko Torsti, Chief Investment Officer, Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company (appointed by Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company)
Patrick Lapveteläinen, Chair of the Board of Directors of Mandatum plc, serves in an expert role as the third member of the Nomination Board
The term of office of the current Nomination Board ends on 31 August 2026, and the new Nomination Board will be appointed thereafter. The new composition of the Nomination Board will be published later by stock exchange release.
