NCC has been commissioned by the municipal company Himmerlands Boligförening to refurbish 350 residential units in Aalborg, Denmark. The order value is approximately SEK 220 million.

The units, which consist of row houses and detached houses built in the early 1980s, will now undergo various levels of remodeling or refurbishment. NCC's contract includes demolition and remediation work in addition to groundworks and concreting as well as masonry, wastewater and paving works.
"This assignment is an ideal match for our expertise. Success in refurbishment projects of this nature requires a combination of rigorous planning and a project team with deep expertise in refurbishing public housing," says Jacob Møller Petersen, Area Manager, NCC Building Nordics.
Construction will commence in October with completion scheduled for spring 2031.
The order value of about SEK 220 million will be registered in the third quarter of 2026 in the Building Nordics business area.
