Nexam Chemical receives first serial production order from new customer in Germany

Nexam Chemical Holding

Nexam Chemical has received its first serial production order from a new customer in Germany. The order represents an important milestone in the company's continued expansion into advanced PET-based materials, including applications that increasingly incorporate recycled PET and supports growth in the DACH region.

The customer manufactures high-performance window profiles and structural foam components used in façade elements and doors. These PET foam materials provide both mechanical stability and strong thermal and acoustic insulation. The production technology shares similarities with the processes used in wind turbine blade manufacturing, an area where Nexam Chemical has extensive experience.

The customer has chosen Nexam Chemical's reactive additive to streamline production by replacing multiple other additives with a single solution. This enables more consistent material performance and creates opportunities for improved cost-efficiency, reduced density, and enhanced insulation properties. Discussions are also underway regarding further optimization steps for future product development. The customer has expressed a clear ambition to introduce recycled PET into its foam formulations, an area where Nexam Chemical is well positioned to support.

"This order confirms the strong commercial potential we see in Germany and the broader DACH region", says Ronnie Törnqvist, CEO of Nexam Chemical. "It demonstrates how our technology can contribute to higher performance and greater sustainability in PET-based applications."

"PET foam is increasingly important in energy-efficient construction, façade systems, and other lightweight structural components. With this first serial production order, we are well positioned to expand further in the region", says Johannes Lorenz, Business Manager DACH.

The order also highlights Nexam Chemical's collaborative setup across its sites in Sweden, Poland, and Hungary, which together provide technical support and efficient scale-up for customers throughout the region.
