Here are Antti’s comments regarding Scanfil’s new contract.  Scanfil announced on Wednesday that it has signed a partnership agreement with a leading industrial automation company. The initial production volume of the contract is valued at EUR 25 million. We view the new customer relationship as positive news, which serves as a good demonstration of Scanfil’s competitiveness and supports the company’s organic growth prospects. We have already been expecting healthy organic growth from the company, and the ramp-up of new customer projects typically takes time; however, we will review our growth forecasts for Scanfil as needed in connection with our next update. With this agreement, Scanfil strengthens its position in the manufacturing of demanding industrial automation and electronics. The initial production volume value of the agreement is 25 million euros. Scanfil’s factory network supports the customer’s needs related to global supply chain, production, and sustainability. The cooperation agreement is strategically important for Scanfil. Cooperation with the customer is also expected to grow over the next three years, depending on the customer’s production ramp-up plans and follow-up projects. The new agreement further strengthens Scanfil’s position in Energy & Cleantech customer accounts and supports long-term growth in Europe and Asia.

Antti has published a new company report on Scanfil regarding Q1.  Scanfil’s Q1 figures released on Thursday were slightly softer than our expectations, but we made no significant changes to our forecasts for the coming years. The company’s outlook is positive in both the short and long term, but in our view, the expected earnings growth is already appropriately baked into the share price (2026e: adj. EV/EBITA 13x). Thus, the expected annual return from the current valuation level does not become quite attractive enough. Consequently, we reiterate our Reduce recommendation and EUR 11.50 target price for Scanfil. Quoted from the report: ..Among Nordic peers, Kitron is valued significantly higher than Scanfil, but Note’s and Hanza’s valuations are fairly well in line with Scanfil.
