Swedish Tax Agency requires security for deferral of payment in transfer pricing case 2019-2022 – Valuno appeals

Valuno Group AB (publ) (the "Company") received the Swedish Tax Agency's response on the deferral of payment relating to the previously announced transfer pricing decision for the years 2019-2022. The Swedish Tax Agency considers that a deferral of payment may be granted but requires the Company to provide security in the form of a bank guarantee for the income tax of SEK 23,430,747 and interest by 2 November 2026. For the tax surcharges of SEK 20,681,284, a deferral of payment is granted without security.

The Company does not share the Swedish Tax Agency's assessment and will appeal the security requirement to the Administrative Court in Stockholm, requesting a deferral of payment without security.

At the same time, the Swedish Tax Agency has granted the Company a temporary deferral of payment from 12 October to 12 November 2026, pending final determination of the question of security. The amount therefore does not fall due for payment on 12 October 2026 and is not referred for enforcement during the deferral period.

On 4 September 2026, the Company announced the Swedish Tax Agency's final decision in the transfer pricing case, which rests on the view that the parent company, and not the Gibraltar subsidiary QuickBit Ltd, performed the value creating functions and controlled the significant risks relating to the group's affiliate solution. That decision was appealed on 29 September 2026.

“The response was expected. We do not share the Swedish Tax Agency's assessment and will appeal the security requirement to the Administrative Court”, says Peter Liljeroos, CEO of Valuno Group AB (publ).
