Truecaller AB: Truecaller Joins Barncancerfonden for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

TRUE BPress release2026-08-27 08:00

Stockholm, 27 August 2026: Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, today announced a collaboration with Barncancerfonden, the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund, during September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Children and cancer don't belong together, and the fight against childhood cancer concerns us all.

As part of the collaboration, Truecaller is verifying Barncancerfonden's phone numbers. This means the organisation's name, logo, and a verification symbol appear during the call, so the person receiving it sees straight away that it's Barncancerfonden calling, not an unknown number. For an organisation that depends on reaching donors by phone, this raises both answer rates and trust, while making it harder for fraudsters to impersonate the organisation.

During September, Truecaller is giving Barncancerfonden its media placements at the home matches of the Stockholm football club AIK. Truecaller is also contributing selected advertising space in the app for users in Sweden during the period. Together, this gives Barncancerfonden visibility in front of an engaged audience when attention around the issue is at its greatest.

Truecaller and Barncancerfonden look forward to deepening their engagement in the time ahead, together for the children and their families.

"No family should have to face childhood cancer, and everyone who can help should, in whatever way they can. For us, that means giving Barncancerfonden our reach and making their calls something people can trust, so more people pick up, and more people can help. We're proud to be part of it," says Agnes Lindberg, Director of Public Relations at Truecaller.

"It means a great deal to us that Truecaller is standing with us in the fight against childhood cancer. Getting involved during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month helps us reach more people and tell them about the work we do. Every gift counts, and it's the support of companies and individuals like this that lets us keep funding the research and the care that children with cancer and their families depend on," says Anne Bergsten, Brand Strategist at Barncancerfonden.
