United Bankers is a Finnish expert on wealth management and investment markets, established in 1986. It is one of the oldest non-bank asset managers in Finland. The Group's wealth management business includes funds, discretionary portfolio management, and structured investment products. In its funds, United Bankers specialises in real asset investment solutions, focusing on forest, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy. The company also provides capital markets services. United Bankers' headquarters is located in Helsinki.

We talked with Staffan Söderholm and Tapio Nuotio, portfolio managers at UB Renewable Energy, about the fund’s recent news flow and data center investments.

This is the first time United Bankers has had to limit redemptions for its real estate funds, as until now, the company has been one of the few players capable of paying out redemptions. Given the recent rise in interest rates, in our view, the announcement does not come as a major surprise. However, the stock has already priced this in quite aggressively, and the valuation is high by all metrics.
