Veidekke: 15 km of Wastewater Pipeline in Moss

Veidekke
Veidekke's subsidiary Leif Grimsrud AS has signed a contract with MOVAR IKS to
install a 15-kilometre wastewater pipeline on land and at sea as part of the
expansion of the Fuglevik Wastewater Treatment Plant in Moss. The construction
contract is valued at NOK 205 million excluding VAT

"This is an excellent assignment for us. It allows us to combine our traditional
civil engineering expertise with the specialist competence of our Coastal
Environment division, which focuses on marine works and the construction of
submarine pipeline systems. We also appreciate the opportunity to contribute to
this important project, which will help to restore and protect the Oslofjord,"
says Magnar Kristiansen, Managing Director of Leif Grimsrud AS.

The assignment includes installing a wastewater pipeline from Brevik via Kambo
to the Fuglevik treatment plant. The combined sea and land pipeline will run
through the Moss Sound, cross existing infrastructure between Moss and Jeløy,
and continue through Værlebukta to Fuglevik. An additional outfall pipeline will
be installed from the existing outfall chamber on the beach at Fuglevik out to a
depth of 50 metres. Municipal pipelines located along the route of the transfer
pipeline will be rerouted or re-established in the same corridor.

The transfer system is part of the "Cleaner Oslofjord" initiative, which aims to
provide a significant environmental boost for the fjord and ensure improved
water quality for future generations. Wastewater will be directed to the new,
modern treatment plant at Fuglevik. Once operational, it will remove 1.5 billion
litres of wastewater from the Moss Sound.

Construction is commencing these days and is scheduled for completion in summer
2028. Read more about the project

The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for the fourth quarter of
2025.
