Veidekke's subsidiary Arcona has been commissioned by Botkyrka Municipality to
build a new school and sports facility in Hallunda outside Stockholm. The design
and build contract comprises a total area of 13,500 square meters and is valued
at approx. SEK 533 million. Work on the project will start in April 2023 and is
scheduled for completion in summer 2025.
The new Eleonoraskolan will cater for a total of 915 pre-school to ninth grade
students, and will consist of two independent buildings connected by a canopy. A
separate sports facility will house school and club sports activities and a
youth club. Also included are technical buildings. Before construction of the
new school can commence, a 1970s school currently located at the site will be
demolished, with the exception of two active emergency shelters.

a major school initiative in the Hallunda-Norsborg district by Botkyrka
Municipality. We think the school will provide an amazing study and working
environment and contribute to the positive development of the entire district,

Municipality.
