Volati acquires Sweja Industriförnödenheter AB

Volati

Volati has acquired all shares in the packaging company Sweja Industriförnödenheter AB. This is an add-on acquisition for the Salix Group business area. With T-Emballage’s existing operations, the acquisition strengthens Salix Group’s position in the Swedish packaging market. Sweja reported annual sales of approximately SEK 96 million in 2022.

Sweja is a Swedish family company, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Malmö. The company offers packaging and machine solutions to Swedish industry, with a focus on the tape and stretch film segment. Alongside T-Emballage’s operations, the Sweja acquisition gives Salix Group a broader product and service offering, creating the conditions for continuing growth.

“The acquisition of Sweja strengthens our position in the Swedish packaging market, enabling us to offer our customers a wider range of products. The company's focus on knowledge and complete solutions in order to create maximum value for the customer is totally in line with T-Emballage’s philosophy. Sweja is a very well-managed company with over 45 years of experience in the sector. We see great potential to build further on the solid business that has been developed within Sweja,” says Salix Group CEO Martin Hansson.

Growth through acquisitions is an important part of Volati’s strategy to create long-term value growth. The ambition is to develop the Company’s businesses into larger and stronger platforms through organic growth, operational improvements and add-on acquisitions, both in the Nordic region and the rest of Europe.

The acquisition has been financed through Volati’s existing credit facilities, with immediate access to the shares.
