The value of the contract is just under 14 million euros, and it will be recorded in the order backlog for the first quarter of the year. The renovation project includes two residential apartment buildings completed in 1964, with a total of 116 apartments, a garage building, and a waste shelter to be converted into bicycle storage. The apartment buildings have four residential floors and a basement. The renovation will improve the property’s accessibility, building services, and energy efficiency by implementing geothermal heating alongside district heating and adding heat recovery to the exhaust ventilation. The facades and courtyard areas will be refurbished. Construction work will begin at the end of April 2026, and the project will be completed in the spring of 2027.

Here is Atte’s company report on YIT after Q4.  YIT’s Q4 result was roughly in line with our expectations, and the guidance for the current year offered no surprises. Our forecasts have therefore remained largely unchanged, and the Housing CEE segment continues to be the driver of the company’s earnings growth in our forecasts for the current year. YIT is initiating change negotiations in Finland, through which it aims for cost savings of 15 MEUR by the end of 2027. Despite the efficiency measures, we forecast that especially the result of the Housing Finland segment will remain far from its potential in 2026-2027 due to low volume levels in both consumer and investor projects. We maintain our target price at EUR 2.9 and our recommendation at Reduce. Atte’s comments on YIT’s Q4 results.  YIT announced an expectedly strong Q4 result on Friday, driven especially by the positive momentum in the Housing CEE segment. The company’s net debt decreased significantly, and the guidance provided for 2026 was in line with our forecasts. Overall, the report reinforced the view that the company’s earnings turnaround is progressing as planned, driven by Central Eastern Europe, even though the Finnish housing market remains challenging. A total of 70 right-of-occupancy apartments and 84 senior rental apartments will be completed in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. The building will have eight residential floors and an underground parking level, on top of which a courtyard deck will be constructed. The scope of the building is over 11,000 gross floor square meters. The work is estimated to be completed in spring 2028.

Here are Atte’s preview comments, as YIT publishes its Q4 report on Friday  In our forecasts, the company’s result for the 2025 financial year is heavily weighted toward the fourth quarter due to housing completions. As a result, we expect revenue for the quarter to have returned to growth year-on-year for the first time since 2023. YIT has guided for an adjusted operating profit from continuing operations of EUR 40–60 million for the 2025 financial year. Our full-year forecast is near the upper end of the guidance range (EUR 57 million). Naturally, our interest in the report is focused on the guidance for the current year, for which we expect strong earnings growth from the company.
