Componenta is a manufacturing company. The company is a supplier of casting solutions that are further used in a number of industrial vehicles, mainly trucks and larger machines. In addition to the main business, related engineering services are offered. Customers are found on a global level, mainly around the European market. The head office is located in Vantaa.

Tommi has written a new company report on Componenta  Componenta’s financial statements release published on Friday was overall better than our expectations, as all main line items exceeded our forecasts. Contrary to our expectations, the company did not distribute a dividend, which we consider a justified move given the growth outlook and the company’s balance sheet position. The outlook for the 2026 financial year indicated growth in both revenue and operating profit, in line with our prior expectations. Forecast changes remained fine-tuning after the report, but the risks associated with our brisk growth expectations decreased. With growth, the upside potential in valuation multiples makes the risk-reward ratio attractive in our estimation. Quote from the report: Order book grew rapidly and organically The order book developed slightly better than our expectations and grew by 12% to EUR 19.6 million (forecast EUR 18.3 million). Componenta reports its order book for the next 2 months, so the metric provides accurate insight into the outlook for the next quarter, but it does not offer visibility into longer-term development. With the 12% growth in the order book, Componenta can start Q1’26 at the growth pace we forecasted. Amidst all the AI hype, it is indeed a rare pleasure to own a good old foundry company whose business is performing excellently from one quarter to the next. The breadth of customer segments brings stability, and the excellent execution of the strategy is clearly visible. To be honest, I was a bit nervous about how the profitability of the operations acquired from Fortaco would be turned around, especially since history has been a burden when it comes to acquisitions, but apparently, this too has crossed the finish line. Sivuranta also exudes confidence and competence from one webinar to another. I look forward to seeing how the funds saved from profit distribution will be put to work in practice. Full steam ahead!

Here are the quick comments from Tommi on the Q4 results.  Componenta released its Q4’25 report this morning. Revenue, which was higher than our expectations, also drove EBITDA above our forecast level. In addition, the development of the order book was slightly more upbeat than we expected, while the outlook provided by the company for the 2026 financial year was in line with our estimates. Componenta does not intend to pay a dividend for the 2025 financial year, which we consider a justified decision. Overall, the report was better than we expected. We expect operating profit to continue growing in the 2026 financial year, though following the positive report, forecast changes may nevertheless remain minor. Here is a company preview report from Tommi, as Componenta reports its results on Friday, March 6th.  We expect Q4’25 revenue and operating profit adjusted for large one-off items to have improved, which would seal the significant turnaround in earnings levels achieved during the past financial year. We expect the company to guide for growth in revenue and EBITDA, but we slightly lowered our forecasts as the agricultural machinery market continues to develop more weakly than we expected. The lower forecasts combined with a slight rise in the share price turn the risk-reward ratio less attractive than before. Reflecting this, we reiterate our target price of EUR 4.7, but lower our recommendation to Reduce (prev. Accumulate). Componenta announced on Wednesday that it will recognize a total deferred tax asset of approximately EUR 5.7 million in its 2025 financial statements. The entry has a significant one-off positive impact on the reported result for the financial year, but it does not affect the company’s cash flow or operating result in the current financial year. The tax asset is larger in magnitude than our assumption of the tax benefit from confirmed losses in the coming years, and we will review our tax assumptions in connection with the next update. We will add the one-off item to our forecasts in connection with the earnings preview. Yeah, it’s quiet. One thing that caught my eye in that release: “..the recognition is based on the recognition criteria in accordance with IFRS standards and the company’s assessment of future taxable profits. The assessment is supported by the group’s improved operational performance, favorable development in profitability, and a strengthened balance sheet and financial position.” Sounds pretty good indeed.
