Anora Group is a producer of alcoholic beverages. The product portfolio consists of wine and spirits marketed under various brands. The largest operations are found in the Nordics and the Baltics, and the company's products are exported to retailers in Europe and North America. The company was created through a merger of Altia and Arcus in 2021 and has its headquarters in Helsinki.

I think that’s a pretty good price, considering Anora’s market cap is 273.6 million. On Friday, there were also rumors that Sazerac had approached Brown-Forman with some kind of deal.

According to Bloomberg, Brown-Forman and Pernod Ricard are considering a possible merger. The news came out over a week ago, but let’s put it here too. There’s no logic at all, just my own mess-up  It is below, but as the text explains, I don’t consider comparing it to the peer group very relevant. It should be a blue, i.e., neutral, box that says “valuation below peers”. I’ll correct that, thanks for noticing

Hey Rauno! I’m going to chime in on this thread and analysis to ask the following: Why is Anora’s valuation in the analysis both above and below the valuation of its peers? The peer group clearly shows that Anora’s valuation is below. The drivers of shareholder return, however, claim it is above. Is there some logic we’re missing here?

Anora’s view indeed remains unchanged. The strategy and financial targets sections have been updated to reflect the company’s updates from late last year, with other sections receiving more standard updates. I slightly revised the forecasts downwards due to nascent cost inflation. The company offers a reasonable cash flow and dividend stream, but the lack of market growth makes earnings growth difficult in the coming years as well as in the longer term.

Anora’s performance has been weak for over a year, but we expect the result to improve clearly in 2024-25. Earnings growth will push the valuation to a moderate level already this year (P/E 11x), which means the expected return is good.
