Old information. It was initially planned as an investigator-initiated trial. In that text, there is a link to this previous clinical trials page ClinicalTrials.gov. That study was initially planned under the name Bexlung, but now I suppose Blaze replaces that and Gilead’s molecule acts as the PD-1 inhibitor.

I read that halfway through and then I came across something strange. Smarter people can explain this again. Merck’s Pembro has been added to the “Pembrolizumab, azacitidine, venetoclax” combination therapies? Was that just thrown in there as a joke? That is the holy grail of cancer drugs if someone doesn’t know yet. Or actually, it’s not the fountain of youth but the Sampo from our Kalevala.

Let’s talk about what’s missing. What does it look like from the perspective of the other negotiating party? Sentiment is improving because interest rates are falling and patents worth 300 BUSD are expiring. This is from an M&A angle, but probably applies equally to licensing. Mid-caps are also mentioned in addition to big pharma. (Markku also spoke about these mid-caps as an opportunity when asked about partner discussions back in the day.
