Here is the company report from Roni following the Q1 results  Pihlajalinna’s Q1 figures fell slightly short of our forecasts due to the exceptionally weak demand situation in the private health services market. The company reiterated its guidance, but we see the lower end or a slight miss as the most likely scenario. The operating environment is providing headwinds, and earnings will decline this year. In our view, the valuation is still very low (adj. P/E under 8x) and encourages staying on board. Following small forecast cuts, we are revising our target price for Pihlajalinna to 12.5 euros, but we reiterate our Accumulate rating. Quoted from the report: If the company can continue to grow its private network and improve profitability, and the group progresses toward its targets (EUR 700 million revenue and 12% adj. EBITA margin), the expected return on the stock would be very high. In the current situation, we believe the targets appear challenging and require excellent performance in the private network business and a significantly better demand environment or potential wins of new outsourcings. Additionally, the demand environment for private health services has been weak, and we have made minor cuts to our forecasts. Upside drivers may be hard to come by in a weak demand environment, but even with the cut forecasts, the share valuation is still very low (26e adj. P/E 9x). We are cutting our target price to EUR 14.5 (prev. EUR 17.0) and lowering our recommendation to Accumulate (prev. Buy). The service agreement came into effect in April 2026 and continues a long-standing collaboration. The agreement covers approximately 2,200 employees. The occupational health service agreement between the partners includes statutory preventive occupational health services and general practitioner-level medical care services. The service agreement is valid until the end of 2028, after which it will continue indefinitely. Here are Roni’s comments on Pihlajalinna’s new reporting structure and change negotiations. Pihlajalinna published comparable data for 2025 on Tuesday, in accordance with its new reporting structure. The new reportable segments include only minor changes from the previous ones, and we will incorporate the new segments in our Q1 update at the latest. At the same time, Pihlajalinna also announced yesterday that it is initiating change negotiations, which could lead to the dismissal of up to 270 employees. The background to the change negotiations is the exceptionally low demand that has continued, especially in the health services market. This, and the weak demand environment indicated by other public data points, is likely to continue from the beginning of the year onwards.
