Here are Joni’s comments on Solteq seeking an extension for its bond loan   As expected, Solteq announced that it is initiating a written procedure to amend the terms of the company’s EUR 18.7 million bond loan. The news was expected, as the company had already indicated in August that it was considering the procedure to secure the sufficiency of its financing, and we had already included the extension of the loan maturity in our baseline scenario. The structure was also very much in line with our expectations. We consider the initiation of the procedure and the approval of the term amendments to be very important for the company, as it provides additional time to execute the operational turnaround without an immediate need for a share issue. The expected release does not cause changes to our forecasts or our view on the stock. Revenue declined clearly, and it is important to get its development to turn back to growth. However, the profit level improved driven by cost-saving measures, which we consider positive. Nevertheless, the profit level is not yet sufficient to cover the high financing costs, and the outlook for the segments remains mixed. Solteq reiterated its guidance, but we estimate that the company will have to issue a profit warning later this year. We expect the company to be able to extend the repayment period for the bond (jvk), but this still leaves the risk-reward ratio very unfavorable for shareholders. Utilities posted “already” positive earnings with slight revenue growth. Below is also a highlight regarding financing:  In assessing the continuity of operations, the company’s management has taken into account the effects of the measures taken during the 2025 financial year and the period 1–6/2026 on the company’s financial performance, financial forecasts, and risks related to financing negotiations. Based on these factors, management assesses that operations will continue and the risk of insufficient financing is low. The company believes that the planned financing arrangements will lead to a favorable outcome.  Perhaps this eases the worst fears of a share issue.
