The closure of the Strait of Hormuz declared by Iran and potential attacks on tankers passing through could lead to a spike in demand for Lamor’s products.

It is, of course, somewhat positive to see that management is acknowledging some of the facts. In the latest Inderes interview, it was stated that no additional lines will be built in Kilpilahti unless someone other than Lamor is financing them. For anyone with basic math skills, this has likely been obvious for some time already. In the results presentation, however, the CFO shared completely incomprehensible facts about Kilpilahti. In 2026, the Kilpilahti plant is expected to be a cash flow and EBIT-neutral exercise, with revenue amounting to a few million. If the CFO actually believes this himself, I strongly recommend a career change to the church.

The first Lamor management interview since the departures of CEO Pirneskoski and CFO Koponen that didn’t cause excessive secondhand embarrassment. Maybe Darwin was right. It gives just a little bit of faith that this company might survive without a share issue. The comments on financing solutions and partners were vague, and I bet it won’t come cheap.

Here’s a new company report on Lamor from Thomas following the Q4 results  Lamor’s Q4 figures were slightly weaker than our expectations. However, the guidance provided for the current year was in line with our forecasts, which balanced the report’s overall picture. The company faces an important balance sheet refinancing, which plays a key role regarding this year’s development. In our view, the valuation outlook for the stock appears challenging, given the currently declining revenue. We reiterate our reduce recommendation and our target price of EUR 1.1. Lamor Corporation Plc (Lamor) is continuing measures to streamline its global operating model to enable the flexible scaling of the company’s operations and cost structure to the changing operating environment and to strengthen the company’s competitiveness and profitability. The planned adjustment measures will concern the company’s operations globally. Any measures with potential personnel impacts will be prepared in each country in accordance with local legislation. More detailed information on the planned impacts will be communicated and negotiated locally as the plans progress. According to preliminary estimates, the planned measures may lead to a reduction of a maximum of 15 positions and temporary layoffs of a maximum of 90 days in Finland. The negotiations in Finland cover approximately 50 employees, and the estimated duration of the change negotiations is approximately three weeks.

Lamor’s profitability remained stable in 2025 despite revenue being lower than in the comparison period. For the second consecutive year, the company received new orders worth nearly EUR 80 million, and operational cash flow remained strong. The most strategically significant step was the completion of mechanical installations at the Kilpilahti recycled oil production facility in December.
