I have mainly updated my reels and rods to Okuma products; they are, considering their price, incredibly high-quality and durable gear for fishing. And Team Esko is a guaranteed lure, of which I have several in my tackle box for catching more prized fish. It would indeed be a good idea to utilize that brand specifically with Finnish artisans. A stylish and high-quality product will certainly sell, and they don’t need to be sold in bulk, but rather as a small everyday premium with which one can, so to speak, ‘show their colors’. Small things often bring a brand into visibility and, overall, increase the brand’s ‘quality’.

Agreed! Rapala has compromised too much for mass-produced goods, plastic, and disposable trends. I would gladly see the brand proud of its history and craftsmanship. Rapala could very well be a slightly more expensive premium goods manufacturer.

It’s leaning a bit towards Marimekko style, but stylishly branded Rapala gear could indeed be a good boost for the company. Perhaps in cooperation with Finlayson or some other Finnish producer of slightly higher quality clothing. Well, that’s enough of that. I do like Rapala as a brand. It would be nice to see Rapala have a new era of prosperity. Rapala certainly has a huge number of brands. I don’t know if the brand would be stronger if they focused on developing the stronger ones. If you don’t read the small print, you don’t always realize, for example, when buying fishing line, that you are buying a Rapala brand. This went a bit into coffee room talk. That can be allowed, in honor of Saturday.

Anyway, there’s tremendous potential in those Rapala brands. And it’s precisely at a time like this, when the company is struggling, that the most work is done on these.
