Teleste Corporation: Teleste's climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative

Turku, Finland - September 8, 2026 -  Teleste's near-term science-based climate targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to contribute to addressing climate change. SBTi validation confirms that Teleste's climate targets have been assessed against established criteria for ambition, coverage, and target calculation.

Teleste is committed to reducing its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80.0% by 2030, using 2022 as the base year. In addition, the company is committed to reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the use of sold products by 51.6% per product sold over the same period. These targets cover emissions from both Teleste's own operations (Scopes 1 and 2) and across its value chain (Scope 3).

"The decision to commit to science-based targets was straightforward. We then carefully evaluated which target structure would best support Teleste's emissions reduction efforts and reflect the areas where we can make the greatest impact.

Today, emissions from the use of sold products account for almost 90% of our total GHG emissions. This reflects the long lifespan of our products, which typically remain in operation for many years, often decades. The target-setting process helped us better understand where the most significant opportunities for emissions reductions lie.

While Teleste can reduce emissions through its own operations and product design decisions, achieving meaningful reductions across the value chain requires close collaboration with both customers and suppliers," says Linda Kallas, SVP Strategy, Communications & Sustainability.
