Remedy Entertainment is a game developer. Its operations are primarily focused on the development of action games, with a particular focus on 3D technology. Examples of games that the company has developed include several different versions of Alan Wake, Max Payne, and Control. Remedy also develops its own game engine and tooling technology that powers many of its games. The company was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Espoo, Finland.

There are unlikely to be any significant announcement events after this until the late spring/early summer events. In my view, the probability of a Q2 release drops very low unless we hear something today. The announcement schedule is, of course, in their own hands, with the only constraint being when the game is ready.

As an interesting exercise, one could consider whether there would be a positive impact on the share price if we hear tonight or during these winter months that the release schedule for Resonant is Q2 (or Q3). Based on Mäki’s video appearance, AI gave an 80% probability that the announcement will happen during Q2. I’m pretty much on the same page; Mäki spoke quite confidently and gave me the impression that the release schedule is, so to speak, in their own hands.

I don’t see it as a significant problem, as the team at Rockstar that approves milestones is likely a separate team from those working on GTA. Therefore, GTA shouldn’t slow down the development happening on Remedy’s end, meaning the major development phases can be completed independently of GTA. And if the game is (unlikely) held back while finished, Remedy would only tie up a small maintenance team at most for bug fixes. The majority of the staff would be moved to the next game in the production pipeline.

I imagine that by the time MPR starts nearing completion, people will naturally transition over to the “Alan Wake 3” project, which will surely be entering pre-production this year, if not already in production by the end of the year. It’s also possible that during any delays caused by Rockstar, the team could already be working on DLC, for example, if such a thing is planned. Early 2027 would be a very good release window for MPR. GTA VI will very likely increase the number of current-gen console owners, and after GTA VI, Rockstar will have the consumers’ attention, which can then also be directed toward MPR, for example through their launcher.

Mäki noted that Rockstar’s focus is entirely on GTA. Do you see it as problematic from Remedy’s perspective (resources being tied up, etc.) if Remedy had to wait an “extra” quarter or two for the MPR release?

I watched the interview and Remedy’s webcast. When asked about the schedule and the status of Resonant, Mäki is quick to smile. According to the smile analysis, Resonant will be released very soon.  Based on the analysis, Q2 is clear, if not even the beginning of Q2. He offers the same smile when he says we’ll hear more about the game very soon. @Spwni also noticed the same, so on Thursday, LET’S GO! edit. disappointed if we see a trailer tomorrow followed by fall-2026 XD MPR then in 2027.
