<div class="abstract">Vardaga and Nytida, part of the Ambea Group, have acquired parts of the care provider and family-owned company AvAsta. The acquisition includes the Sisjödal nursing home as well as four units providing care for adults with lifelong disabilities and psychosocial problems.</div>AvAsta was founded in 2014 and has its roots in a care operation established in 1956 by Asta Kärrbrand. The acquired operations include a total of 154 beds- 90 at the Sisjödal nursing home and 64 across four residential facilities - and approximately 130 employees. All units are located in the Gothenburg region.-We look forward to building on the important work already being done in AvAsta's units, and to welcoming care receivers,&nbsp;their loved ones, and employees to our organisations, says Fredrik von Malmborg, Managing Director, Nytida, and Susanne Sjöberg, Managing Director, Vardaga.-It feels reassuring to hand over our supported housing services and the Sisjödal nursing home to Vardaga and Nytida - organisations that share our values and will safeguard the vision AvAsta was built on: to improve the quality of life for people in need of care through quality, competence, respect, responsibility, engagement and joy, says Markus Kärrbrand, co-owner of the selling company.The four units providing support to adults with disabilities and psychosocial needs are operated as supported housing services under the Swedish legislation LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SoL (Social Services Act), and are part of AvAsta's BmSS (Bostad med särskild service) business area.Sisjödal is a nursing home providing residential care for people with somatic (physical) complaints and dementia.
