Goodtech and Hokuren Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives have signed a new
5-year supply contract for its PORTABULK® technology, packaging products and
services to Japan.
This agreement represents the latest renewal of a fruitful cooperation
stretching back almost 30 years. The cooperation has typically yielded annual
revenues in excess of 2 MUSD for Goodtech AS - which is expected to continue in
a similar manner for the upcoming 5 years.
The Hokuren Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives is headquartered in Sapporo,
on the island of Hokkaido - Japan's predominant agricultural area. The company
is a leading supplier of high-quality agricultural products and services to this
segment in Japan, and Hokkaido - with its fertile land and nutrient-rich
sea-scape, leads the country in the production of rice and fish while also
sharing the lead in vegetable farming.
For the execution of the contract deliveries, Goodtech AS cooperates very
closely with its local Japanese representative - Mitsubishi Shoji Agri-Service
Corporation.
