Skanska builds rental apartments in Helsinki, Finland, for EUR 32M, about SEK 350M
Skanska has signed a contract with the City of Helsinki to build rental apartments in Helsinki, Finland. The contract is worth EUR 32M, about SEK 350M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2025.
The project consists of two residential buildings, standing six and eight stories high. The development will feature 182 rental apartments, including 20 apartments designed to support residents with special needs, with a total floor area of approximately 11,900 square meters.
The project targets a three-star rating under the Rakennustieto environmental classification, which sets standards for energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and sustainable site operations.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is expected to be completed by autumn 2027.
