GreenMobility: expects to activate DKK 15 million in deferred tax assets in 2025

Av Michael FriisHead of Equities

This morning, GreenMobility published an update on the amount of deferred tax assets the company expects to recognise in 2025. The company expects to activate DKK 15 million in deferred tax assets in 2025 (DKK 8.4 million in 2024), bringing total recognised deferred tax assets to DKK 23.4 million (DKK 8.4 million in 2024).

The recognition is supported by the company’s current profitability as well as the new long-term financial targets towards 2028, which include annual revenue growth of 8–12% and EBITDA growth of 12–16%. These targets provide a basis for recognising a deferred tax asset in the financial statements.

Viewed in isolation – i.e. excluding net profit from operations in H2 2025 as well as other changes in assets – the recognition will increase equity by DKK 15 million. Including the recognised deferred tax asset, the equity ratio will amount to approximately 18%, compared with 8% at the end of H1 2025.

The recognition has no direct cash flow effect, but a stronger equity position improves the company’s ability to negotiate financial terms. This is a key element in a business model characterised by significant leasing assets. At the same time, the development brings GreenMobility closer to its target equity ratio of 20%, at which point the company has previously indicated that distributions to shareholders may be considered.

Looking at the midpoint of the 2025 EBITDA guidance and assuming that financial costs and depreciation in H2 2025 remain at a level similar to H1 2025 (these items are relatively stable, but the company has not provided specific guidance), this suggests that H2 2025 could contribute an additional net profit of DKK 10–11 million (compared with DKK 6 million in H1 2025). This would lift the company above an equity ratio of 20%.

The company also states that total tax loss carryforwards amount to DKK 223 million under IAS 12, indicating that around half of the potential future deferred tax asset has now been recognized.
