Elop Technology has been awarded The Seal of Excellence from the European
Investment Council (EIC)" after participating in the EIC accelerator program
with its Multrawheel - the unique ultrasound scanner that allows for highly
efficient inspections of composite materials, such as windmill blades and other
large composite structures.
Following evaluation by a panel of independent experts, the MultraWheel proposal
was rated as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation
process, which means it passed all stringent assessment thresholds for the three
award criteria (excellence, impact, quality and efficiency of implementation)
required to receive funding from the EIC budget. As 2021 resources available for
this specific call had already been allocated, the evaluation panel issued its
Seal of Excellence and recommended the proposal for funding by other sources
within EU's programs for funding.
"Not only can this award open up further funding sources for our MultraWheel
ultrasound scanner, it also underlines the uniqueness of our technology and the
huge impact it can have for both infrastructure owners and society as a whole,"

The "Seal of Excellence" is a quality label awarded by the EU commission to
proposals/projects which has been assessed in a call for proposals under a Union
instrument and are deemed to comply with the quality requirements for funding.
This well-known quality label recognizes the value of the proposal and helps
other funding bodies take advantage of the evaluation process done by EIC.
