Etteplan launches next-generation Etteplan INFO - an AI-enhanced outsourced solution for technical documentation and technical information management

Etteplan announces the launch of the next-generation Etteplan INFO, a comprehensive, productized service solution for outsourcing technical documentation and technical information management. The solution is already in use by several customers, and the goal is to gradually migrate previously implemented technical documentation outsourcing projects to the new AI-based Etteplan INFO solution, delivering clear additional value to customers. The renewed Etteplan INFO integrates artificial intelligence deeply into its operating model, enhancing quality, efficiency and compliance across data-intensive processes and the entire product lifecycle. Etteplan INFO supports companies as a long-term partner and ensures readiness for future digital initiatives as well as enables a robust, scalable foundation for technical documentation.

In the renewed Etteplan INFO, AI is an integral part of both the delivery model and the service's competitive advantage. Etteplan INFO builds on Etteplan's proven AI capabilities to make technical content creation and management faster, more accurate and easier to scale. AI capabilities significantly enhance the value of the Etteplan INFO service solution by streamlining information workflows and improving content quality. AI automatically identifies and extracts data from drawings, diagrams, and documents, significantly reducing the time spent on manual information retrieval. It also brings content intelligence to large documentation sets by analysing extensive technical materials and ensuring consistency across data and document types. In addition, AI supports higher-quality and compliant content creation by offering rewrite suggestions, supporting adherence to writing standards, and shortening content review cycles by up to 75 percent. The solution can also interpret standards and technical guidelines through both text and image analysis, further accelerating accurate documentation work.

At the same time, the role of technical documentation is expanding: increasingly, its primary users are not only people, but also AI agents and AI-based tools.
