Great challenge! If we start with why the view changed now, I have probably been saying for 1.5 years that CapMan is cheap if the targeted profit improvement comes through. What does this profit improvement require? It requires success in the largest fundraising cycle in the company...

Below is data from an extensive report ( CapMan laaja raportti: Skaalautumisen vuoro - Inderes ): When looking purely at the personnel expenses visible on the income statement, CapMan doesn’t really stand out from the crowd. However, it is worth noting that CapMan’s investment teams...

I share your concerns regarding the realization of that cost efficiency. It is worth remembering that we have seen very different operating leverages in the sector in recent years. In asset management, Evli has been bringing almost 100% of its growth to the bottom line over the last...

It is also worth noting that establishing the fund itself is an important milestone. Typically, in this industry, all subsequent investors pay management fees retroactively from the inception date (unless, of course, discounts have to be given to the big players, which is quite possible...

I’ve been following Inderes for about six years now, and this change in recommendation from “accumulate” (lisää) to “buy” (osta) with the same target price of €2.10 after this earnings report really caught my eye. Although I understand the financial sector quite poorly, I dare to...

I wasn’t convinced by Pia’s comments regarding cost scalability. Pia spoke about support functions/the platform, which are likely a small portion of the expenses in euro terms (my understanding was that these account for 25% of the headcount, but they don’t receive high salaries ...

No exact figures have been disclosed. My own estimate is that the new Forest Fund now has over €200M (target €300M+), and there shouldn’t be any major issues in reaching the target size here. For Infra, the first close was estimated at €250M. It is worth noting that the closing happened...

CapMan Q2'26: A critical step on the path to improved earnings

CapMan's Q2 numbers were lacklucster, but the rapid progress in fundraising was critical for the earnings improvement in the coming years. If the earnings improvement materializes as estimated, the stock is cheap.

The company's numbers were clearly below our expectations due to lower-than-expected revenue and weak investment income.

Capman: Moving in the right direction - Nordea

Ahead of CapMan's Q2 2026 results on 8 August, we make slight revisions to our estimates, mainly to reflect the fist closes in two flagship funds. Supported by two new funds, we expect AuM to grow to EUR ~7.7bn (Q1: EUR 7.2bn). We model fee income of...
