Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (NAS) - Traffic Figures for July 2026

NASRegulatoriskt pressmeddelande2026-08-06 08:00
In July, the Norwegian Group had 3,061,053 passengers, of which Norwegian had
2,701,132 and Widerøe 359,921. For Norwegian, this represents the highest number
of passengers in a single month since before the pandemic. Both airlines
delivered a strong operational performance with high regularity in the busiest
travel month of the year.

"I am particularly pleased that we successfully filled the capacity we added
this July. With over 3 million passengers across the group, it has been a busy
and successful month. High regularity is essential to ensuring our customers can
travel to their destinations and return home as planned, something made possible
by our dedicated colleagues who keep our operations running smoothly," said Geir
Karlsen, CEO of Norwegian.

Norwegian's capacity (ASK) in July was 4,392 million seat kilometres, an
increase of 6 percent compared with July 2025. Actual passenger traffic (RPK)
was 4,040 million seat kilometres, an increase of 6 percent from the same period
last year. The load factor was stable compared with last year at 92.0 percent.
Regularity, the share of scheduled flights that took place, was 99.5 percent.
Punctuality, the share of flights departing within 15 minutes of scheduled time,
was 77.0 percent, an increase of 3.8 percentage points from last year. Norwegian
operated an average of 94 aircraft in July.

"The booking momentum has improved in recent weeks, and I am glad to see this
continuing into the start of August. The sales figures for the autumn are also
good, indicating a solid underlying demand in the market. We are well positioned
for the coming months, and our customers can continue to confidently book with
us," said Geir Karlsen.

Widerøe's capacity (ASK) was 201 million seat kilometres in July, up 1 percent
from the previous year. Actual passenger traffic (RPK) was 163 million seat
kilometres, unchanged from July 2025. The load factor was 80.8 percent, down 0.6
percentage points from last year. Regularity, the share of scheduled flights
that took place, was 97.9 percent. Punctuality, the share of flights departing
within 15 minutes of scheduled time, was 92.6 percent, an increase of 3.3
percentage points from last year.

"Our operational planning for the summer paid off, resulting in improved
punctuality for our passengers, even with challenging weather on parts of our
network. The performance in July shows that we are an airline our customers all
over Norway can rely on," said Tore Jenssen, CEO of Widerøe.
