Oslo, August 21, 2026 - On July 2, 2026, Yara announced its acquisition of GCA Finance LLC, GCA Operations LLC and its subsidiary Gulf Coast Ammonia LLC (GCA). On August 20, GCA received a copy of a request for arbitration which includes an allegation that the claimant has suffered loss and damages amounting to at least USD 2 billion for alleged wrongful termination of an ammonia offtake agreement.
GCA strongly disputes that the termination was wrongful, rejects the claims in their entirety and will vigorously defend itself against any allegations. Yara supports GCA's assessment, and the claim does not impact the financial or strategic rationale for the acquisition. Yara remains committed to completing the acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions.
